UV Nation Festival

Having a massive international club and commercial smash hit that overshadows almost anything esle one has subsequently recorded can end up being a milestone round one's neck.

Italian superstar DJ Benny Bennasi isn't exactly worried about that association with his big hit, Satisfaction, from about three to four years ago.

"I expect to always be connected to Satisfaction," the 39 year-old veteran DJ said over the phone during a short interview from Rome recently. "That opened paths for me and launched my (international) career."

That said, he said that his music style in the club scene has evolved since, so no one can expect an electric set when he arrives in Malaysia come June 9, to headline the UV Nation dance party to be held at the 1 Utama Shopping Complex Roof Top car park, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It will be his first visit since 2004.

Career-wise, Bennasi recently set up record label Pump-Kin Music, to promote new and unsigned producers. Thbrough this venture, he hopes to give exposure to some of the lesser known DJs/production talents across the world.

The UV Nation party will be emceed by Joey G and rising hip hoppers Junio Hustle, and will feature four arenas bathed in ultra-violet light displays. In addition to Bennasi headlining the main arena, German DJ Scot Project will be deejaying and offering clubbers a mix of hard trance and melodic trance melodies.

Also in the line-up, to ensure the beat keeps on pulsating, are our own Bass Agents and Altered Image VJs, who will take you on a visual odyssey you will never forget.

Be prepared to be transported to the streets of Harajuku, Tokyo, as inner-city street culture culminates in the urban arena with beat-breaking tunes brought to you by hip hop and R&B artistes, among them, The Stylustics, DJ Goldfish, DJ Blink, Ben Cracko and Junio Hustle.

You can also expect a journey through sound and light accompanied by state-of-the-art 180 degrees LCD displays and LED music synchronised panels.

Minutes to Midnight

Say whatever you want about linkin park. High school, gay bla bla bla. To me they are one of the best rock bands around and minutes to midnight proves that. They are not as electronic and hip hop as before with meteora and hybrid theory was it? yeah. Minutes to midnight is more "mellow" rock now with lovely melodies and tunes. Sometimes almost like coldplay yet still very original. There are about 3 or 4 high energy songs with fast paced beats and chester's famous shouting. Then there is about 2 rap-styled mike shinoda stuff. The rest are just the peaceful calming like songs. Lovely. The lyrics are inspired by events like the hurricane and of course bush. The design of the cover is unique, not like the usual plastic cover with the booklet. Its soft and opens to three parts like the collision course cds , nice simple black and white designs. The booklet is colourful with lyrics for each song and how it was made.

The only complaints are : The album is only 43.31 minutes with 12 songs. The price tag is 39.90 and dumbass warner music malaysia have censored the fucks.

Other than that the album is a superb buy and i am thoroughly enjoying it. Yeah! Linkin Park!

Pirates.

To be honest, in my opinion, pirates 3 didnt live up to all the hype. The story line was too messy with so many characters and the worst part was i couldn remember what the hell happened in the second and first edition. So most of the entertainment was from the action scenes bang bang slish slash splish splash. Also there were some funny moments with the monkey and of course jack sparrow. Oh and did i mention there were little glimpses of keira's hotness. hahaa. Worth ten ringgit? Maybe, but i advise u guys that have not watched it yet to watch the first and second one first so that u will understand the storyline hence making the movie a whole lot more enjoyable. Unless u already remember everthing that happened.

p.s. dont leave the theater straight after the movie ends. wait during the credits there will be a small scene. if u've already watched it and didnt wait, then too bad haha.

Facelift

Seriously, I think this blog needs a new look. The current one is great, simple, cute and not chaotic. However, we could use a fresh look that will make the blog more striking. Since I have a remarkable amount of free time here, I shall hereby take up the task of giving the blog a new look. If anyone else wants to add their own stuff to the blog, feel free to do so. If you want to contribute ideas of what the blog could use, let me know, ie. font colour, pictures, links, background etc. Oh and since this blog is shared by all of us, if anyone/everyone thinks that we should just stick with the current look, I shall immediately stop and revert back to the original look.

A Car I Drove Today

Today was a tiring day. Indian wedding. Whole day affair. Needless to say it was utterly boring.
The highlight of the day came when i got to drive a mercedes benz c200 from bangsar to klang.

Got in the car, the engine was already started. The handbrake is something like the harrier's but in order to release in you have to pull a lever. The gears are a little weird. Its like not straight. Shift to reverse, release brake. The car moves, fast enough that u have to step on the brake straight away. The steering is suprisingly really light. Hence making it easier for city driving.

Then came the disappointing part. The acceleration was well, disappointing. I couldnt feel the car going zoom as i stepped on the pedal. Even when i floored it felt like it was barely moving. Even the wira has better acceleration.

Then came the best part. As the car picked up speed (very slowly tough), it just felt so smooth. It was like i was gliding. Cool experience. Another thing is that u can hardly hear the engine making it a very relaxing drive.

Reached the destination, parked the car turned the engine off. Satisfied, but honestly i was expecting more. If given the chance the buy the C200 or the BMW 318i, go for the beemer.

we are currently in muchus house. xatys ipod is in the car, according to her. and nabil said her phones in uni. xaty was scratching her nose. and she said not to write that. nabils looking dumb while eating hacks. tasha said 'ha phone. hah sharifah'. daniel xaty tasha and nabil are at the sofa, all talking about sharifah. we are planning to go to pahs place to watch football, i think, if she's free. nabils disturbing me by asking me to open facebook. im full rite now, lasagna and satay and rice and chicken AND ice-cream. we didnt get the haagen-dazs tho, but the ice-cream was delicious anyways. its kinda warm in here, because theres a lot of people in the apartment. theres a lot of ants. because im here, im just too sweet. xaty didnt say that first, i did. fuck you xaty. xaty said shit jst now. what the hells her reply to this post. shes laughing , with short intervals in between the laughs. shes folding her arms. okay xaty im goin to publish this. okay ill talk to you too xaty.

why...oh why...

okay people. united lost yesterday morning. its bin a while since we lost. ok well, our last lost was to portsmouth few weeks back but still..the point is, we held a 3-2 advantage from the first leg. we could and should have won this game. wait, jus could have. based on last night's performance tho, we didn deserve it. credit to milan, they played brilliant. again, kaka was magical. and how the hell milan's passing went so well in the rain i have no idea. and how i so wish gattuso moved to united a few seasons back. he played his heart out. ronaldo and co had no chance with him wrecking havoc in midfield. he would have been the perfect replacement for roy keane.

apart from milan playing well, i think alex ferguson played the wrong formation. 4-5-1. okay wait, formation was alrite i guess, the player he picked. every1 was fine save vidic. no disrespect to his ability, but the guy jus recovered from an injury. he was lacking match fitness. this was most evident in the 53rd minute when kaka easily passed him and took a shot. an on form vidic would have cleared the ball easily then. furthermore, he can be partly blamed for the first 2 goals. his mistakes cost us dearly. sigh....oh well, overall, credit to the team for getting this far. ronaldo, rooney, carrick, fletcher. young players who did amazingly well. and not forgetting the more experienced players, scholes, giggs, solskjaer, van der sar. hopefully next season we can reach further and you guys can end your remarkable careers on a high. now to concentrate on this saturday's derby with city and next weeks fa cup final with chelsea. glory glory manchester united!!

anyways, now to more pressing issues. i have exams next week. what the hell am i doing blogging. hmmm, lets jus pretend im on a break. haha. world economy's a bitch. macro requires full attention. something i am only capable of doing if it's football related. management hopefully will be okay. accounting should also be fine. maths. ummmmmmmm.....okay, maybe i should go study now....after i watch heroes episode 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post Treble Dream Ending Stress

No one can be allowed to criticise Manchester United this season.

Reasons are because United have undoubtebly been the best team in England and possibly Europe during these past 11 months.

a) we have lead the EPL, probably the best league in the world, for most of the season.
b) we have reached the final of the FA Cup
c) we reached the semi-finals of the Champioms league

we got knocked out early in the league cup but who really cares.

so whoever that made fun of united after the milan loss pls name me a better team this season.
these are the probable choices:

chelsea : a) second in the league for most of the season
b) fa cup final
c) semi final cl.
d) league cup winners but who really cares.

liverpool :a)THIRD or FOURTH in the league for most of the season sometimes as low asSIXTH
b) fa cup... knocked out by arsenal youngsters
c) final of cl ; got lucky as chelsea's players sucked in penalty taking

and of course arsenal. .... you sure you want to see arsenal's record this season xaty?

a) FOURTH in the league and staying there
b) Fa cup knocked out by blackburn ... need i say more.
c) cl knocked out by PSV. Yes PSV Eindhoven.
d) league cup final.

so now lets compare the teams against united.

chelsea are the closest but they fall behind simply because they have been trailing behind united in the league for most of the season. you cant possibly tell me that winning the league cup is a big deal.

liverpool have been awfully inconsistent in the league this season
and although they have done well to reach the cl final, through penalties
you ask any liverpool fan and they would admit that they would rather win the league.
Better than united this season? No way. Why? UNITED are in FIRST PLACE

and Arsenal fans? .... well they have absolutely nothing to look forward to this season so they find pleasure in making fun of teams that are doing way way better than them in competitions when a lost comes along. how sad.

the other team that can compete with united for being the best team in Europe would be MILAN. But do not forget, AC Milan are third in their league. Inter have won the league by dozens of points. Milan only have the cl to concentrate on. They managed to rest 6 top players before playing with united. Now tell me, does that not give a huge advantage to them. Having to travel to italy after a gruelling but brilliant 4-2 victory. It wasnt easy and it showed. Realizing all this united fans shouldnt be too down.

United is still the best team around.

so i was happily reading when my two weeks old study lamp died on me. like yeay it happened again. its like all the lamps i buy are bound to screw up one way or another in an unacceptably short period of time.

how do you do that?
what i can think of is drilling a hole at the side of my head, putting a straw in, and telling Daniel that theres whiski inside.

well according to readers digest there are ways is to buff up your brain.
there are some good brainbuffing tchniques suggested by the best brainbuffer of all, Proffessor Aftaz Johson Jongos, who suggests :

1) Eat buffy foods - foods such ass chickens ass and cows tits are a good source of bufibre ( a buffier sort of fibre) of which the brain can use to get buffer. Eat lots and lots of these and eventually you'lll get there.

2) Excercise the brain - excercising the brain does sound hard, but it is actually easy to do. One of the techniques given are such as taking vitamin E -( a good source is the blue dolphin)
which stimulate the muscles around and VOILA!
